1 tsp salt

1 tbsp oil

Water as needed

For the filling:

2 cups chana sattu

1 onion, finely chopped

2 green chilies, finely chopped

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp amchur (dry mango powder)

Salt to taste

Water as needed

Oil for cooking

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, salt, and oil. Mix well and add water gradually to make a soft and smooth dough. Cover and keep aside for 30 minutes.

In another bowl, add chana sattu, chopped onions, green chilies, cumin seeds, red chili powder, coriander powder, amchur, and salt. Mix well.

Gradually add water to the mixture and knead into a smooth and soft dough. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.

Divide the wheat flour dough into equal-sized balls.

Take a ball of dough and roll it into a small circle. Place a small amount of the chana sattu filling in the center of the circle.

Fold the edges of the circle to cover the filling and seal it properly. Roll the dough gently with a rolling pin to make a paratha.

Heat a tawa or a flat pan over medium heat. Place the rolled paratha on the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side.

Brush the paratha with oil on both sides and cook until golden brown.

Repeat the same process with the remaining dough and filling.

Your chana sattu ka paratha is ready to be served hot with some yogurt, pickle, or chutney.

Tips:

You can add other ingredients to the filling, such as grated carrots, cabbage, or chopped spinach, to make the parathas more nutritious.

Make sure to seal the edges of the paratha properly, or else the filling may come out while cooking.
