Jhalmuri

Ingredients:

2 cups puffed rice

1 onion, chopped

1 tomato, chopped

1 green chili, chopped

1/4 cup roasted peanuts

1/4 cup sev (crispy noodles)

2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

1 tbsp mustard oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp red chili powder

Salt, to taste

Lemon juice, to taste

 

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, add puffed rice, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped green chili, roasted peanuts, and sev. Mix well.

In a pan, heat mustard oil and add cumin seeds. Once they start crackling, add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.

Pour the spice mix over the puffed rice mixture and mix well until everything is coated with the spices.

Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Squeeze lemon juice over the Jhalmuri and mix well.

Serve immediately.
