Arsa

  

Arsa is a traditional sweet dish from Jharkhand that is made with rice flour, jaggery, and grated coconut. It is a popular dessert that is typically prepared during festivals and special occasions. Here is a simple recipe to make Arsa at home:

 




Ingredients:

2 cups rice flour

1 cup jaggery, grated

1 cup grated coconut

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

1/4 cup water

Oil, for frying

 

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, grated jaggery, grated coconut, and cardamom powder. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

Gradually add water to the mixture and knead it into a soft dough.

Take small portions of the dough and shape them into small balls.

In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium flame.

Once the oil is hot, gently drop the balls into the oil and fry them until they turn golden brown in color.

Remove the Arsa from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Serve the Arsa warm or at room temperature.
